for KUSD School Board
Why I am Running:
I am running for a position on the School Board because I am dedicated to helping children get the best education possible in Kenosha. My mission is to help parents reclaim their power when it comes to the education of their children and to retake their rightful seat at the table when it comes to making those decisions. I am running on a student-first, parent’s rights, back-to-basics platform. I want to help you protect your children from progressive indoctrination within the educational system. During COVID, many parents’ eyes were opened to the decision making process regarding their children’s education. Board members were making decisions that affected students and the community as a whole with little opposition or parent input. I am a common sense conservative who believes in a robust education system that focuses on academic fundamentals and job skills training, not activism and agendas. The purpose of education is to give students the intellectual ability to analyze and reach conclusions based on logic and evidence. It’s NOT about telling students what to think. Our children need to be able to weigh competing ideas and have an actual debate.
We live in the greatest country in the world. Our schools should follow suit. Currently, less than 30% of Wisconsin students are proficient in reading and math at their current grade level. Under the current leadership, the achievement gap in Kenosha Unified has grown exponentially, especially for students of color and low-income families. Students are leaving school without the skills to compete in the real world. They aren’t really “graduating”, but rather “aging out” and then being pushed out the door. Let me help you in this fight to change how we do business at KUSD.
